To my mother.

“I got this painting as a birthday present for my mother. This painting is of my grandmother (my mother's mother) and my daughter. My grandmother passed away last year (November 2019) and didn't get to meet my daughter who would have been her first great-grandchild. She also didn't know I was pregnant. I struggled with infertility for 4 years and during that time, experienced 9 miscarriages. My grandmother knew how hard it was for me to get pregnant and knew that the only thing I wanted in life was to be a mother, but then she fell ill and cancer took her body. Her health deteriorated rapidly and within 5 months the cancer spread from her lungs to all of her major organs causing them all to shut down and leading to her death. My grandmother passed away on November 12, 2019 and I became pregnant on November 17, 2019 and gave birth to a full term healthy baby girl. She is now 3 months old and this is my mother's first grandchild and we could not have asked for anything more than for my grandmother to meet and hold our lovely daughter but unfortunately this could not be achieved but through this painting we can see that! The painting is stunning and perfect in every way and exceeded all my expectations. Thank you!”
